In SAS® Promotion Optimization, you might notice that optimization fails when you have a promotion that has the buy and get discounted $ promotion pricing type defined. The optimization fails because percentages are used instead of decimals in backend computations, and this leads to the minimal absolute price rule filtering out all candidates.
