Sample 45111: Calculate weighted frequencies using non-integer weights with PROC TABULATE
The FREQ procedure can calculate weighted frequencies with non-integer weight values using the WEIGHT statement.
To calculate weighted frequencies with the TABULATE procedure, you can use the FREQ statement. However, non-integer weight values are truncated to integers and weight values less than one have a weight of zero. To calculate weighted frequencies using non-integer weights with PROC TABULATE, you can use the method illustrated on the Full Code tab. This involves specifying the weight variable in a VAR statement and crossing it with the SUM statistic.
