Problem Note 45993: Dashboard might not update until the indicator that is the source for a client-side filter is selected

In SAS® BI Dashboard, you can define interactions between indicators on a dashboard. When setting up these interactions, you must consider whether the processing for the interaction will occur on the client side or on the server side. For a client-side filter, the data is processed by SAS BI Dashboard running in the browser. All of the data will be present on the client system. For a server-side filter, you must configure your information map data source with a user-defined prompt that has a default value.
In some cases, when working with interactions based on client-side filters, user actions on the indicators might not cause the filter to activate. Also, when combining server-side and client-side filters, actions on the server-side filter might not pick up the correct value from the client-side filter.
In most cases, you can resolve these issues by making a selection on the indicator that is the source for the client-side filter.
