Problem Note 45867: Optimization setting might not persist in alternate promotions

When creating an alternate promotion in SAS® Promotion Optimization, you might notice that the optimization setting does not persist. This happens because there is no default objective setting in the database. The display defaults to "Maximize Units Sold", but the default null causes a problem and the setting update is lost.
There is no workaround for this issue.
