Problem Note 45796: Applying Hot Fix B51002 for SAS® Data Integration Studio triggers "ERROR: LIBNAME ETLSTMP is not assigned" in an SCD Type 2 Loader transformation
SAS Data Integration Studio 4.2 jobs fail to run correctly after you apply Hot Fix B51002. This problem occurs when the following conditions are true:
- An SCD Type 2 Loader transformation with the "Use SQL Passthru" option is set to Yes.
- Your target table is defined in an OLE DB library where the OLE DB Server has a Data Source Type setting of OLE DB - Other Database.
The problem occurs because a DATASETS procedure designed to clean up temporary WORK tables references a libref of ETLSTMP, even though there is no library allocation for ETLSTMP. This results in this error during job execution:
ERROR: LIBNAME ETLSTMP is not assigned
Changing the Data Source Type of the OLE DB Server to a setting that reflects the actual database that is being targeted resolves this issue. Examples include OLE DB - Oracle or OLE DB - Microsoft SQL Server(PC Client)). To change this setting, follow these steps:
- In SAS® Management Console, open the properties of the OLE DB Server that you have defined.
- Go to the Options tab
- Change the Data Source Type setting from OLE DB - Other Database to the actual database that is being targeted (for example, OLE DB - Oracle).
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
