During a SAS 9.3 installation, you might need the SAS^® Deployment Wizard to install certain Microsoft Components during Stage 1, when the system requirements phase runs. In some cases, the SAS Deployment Wizard might encounter the installation failure shown below when it attempts to install these components.

To prevent the installation failure, download and install these components ahead of time, before you launch the SAS Deployment Wizard.

The various Microsoft components are located in your SAS Software Depot folder, as is indicated below. To use the versions, navigate to the directories shown. These components are also available from the Microsoft Web site. To download directly from Microsoft, click the name of the respective hyperlinked component shown below.
