Problem Note 45008: Missing OK and Cancel buttons when attempting to filter and sort an information map in specific languages using the SAS® Add-In for Microsoft Office
If you are running the SAS Add-in for Microsoft Office in Hebrew (he), Espanol (es), or Turkish (tr), and you attempt to Filter & Sort an information map, the OK and Cancel buttons in the Open Information Map dialog box might be missing.
To circumvent this issue, you can change your language to English. The buttons will then display, enabling you to filter and sort your information map.
One way to change the language to English is to use the CultureOverride option in SAS Add-in's configuration file. Here are the steps to reset your language:
- In the SAS Add-in for Microsoft Office installation folder, open the
SAS.OfficeAddin.dll.config
file in a plain text editor, or create the configuration file if it doesn't already exist.
- In this file, insert the following code:
<configuration>
<assemblySettings>
<add key="CultureOverride" value="en-US"/>
</assemblySettings>
</configuration>
- Restart Microsoft Excel.
- Open the information map, which will now use English.
Note: Clicking the x in the upper right corner of the dialog box is the same as clicking the Cancel button.
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
