Usage Note 44932: Copied PivotTables cannot be refreshed or modified using the SASĀ® Add-In for Microsoft Office
PivotTables created in Microsoft Excel using the SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office are considered SAS Content within your workbook. You have the ability to refresh and modify that content by using the tools on the SAS ribbon.
However, if you copy and paste the PivotTable elsewhere in the workbook, then the SAS Add-In no longer recongizes the table as SAS Content, and, as a result, can no longer refresh the table. This occurs because the copied PivotTable does not include the hidden tags that identify the table as SAS Content.
Beginning with release 4.3, you can use Replicate SAS Content from the Tools menu to "copy" SAS Content elsewhere in a workbook. The Replicate SAS Content feature retains the hidden tags that identify the object as SAS Content.
