Beginning with SAS Enterprise Guide 4.2, you can save a project with a long name to a metadata folder. If the project name is longer than 64 characters (not including the .egp file extension), then you might see errors in SAS Enterprise Guide after renaming the project in SAS® Management Console.
Unable to load the project contents. The project file is not in the DAV storage.
From this point on, there does not appear to be any way to retrieve the project, even though it is still listed in the folder.
To prevent this error from occurring, do not rename projects with names longer than 64 characters.
