When using SAS® Regular Price Optimization, you might notice that there are no forecasts for new products. The inflation factor for category demand is calculated incorrectly, which results in zero forecasts for new products. Furthermore, when the new products have a large share of the share group, the inflation factor could be too big. This results in inflated forecasts for the new products.
There is no workaround for this issue.
