Problem Note 44464: Share model under-forecasts when EXCLUDE_NP_FROM_SHARE=0

When using the share model in estimation for SAS® Regular Price Optimization or SAS® Promotion Optimization, under-forecasting might occur when the EXCLUDE_NP_FROM_SHARE model specification is turned off (=0). When EXCLUDE_NP_FROM_SHARE=0, new products are considered in the share model, but the category demand is not adjusted for the new products. In this case, the category demand should be inflated to include new products.
There are no errors or warnings to indicate that the forecast is incorrect.
There is no workaround for this issue.
