When using SAS® Pack Optimization, a malformed import file can cause a NullPointerException on the mid-tier.
The error generated is in the mid-tier log:

The NullPointerException (NPE) occurs if a fixed attribute (such as "BRAND") or invalid attribute is used. Only custom attributes are supported.
