Problem Note 44176: Identifiers in SAS® Real-Time Decision Manager campaigns and diagrams might be unavailable for assignment

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

SAS® Real-Time Decision Manager enables you to associate an identifier with a variable. You can use that identifier in the nodes of your diagram using the nodes' data picker. However, the data pickers only show a subset of the identifiers that you define. The data pickers do not list identifiers that are associated with variables that are defined in an upstream branch of your campaign or diagram.

There is a way to work around this behavior and force the data picker for every node to show your identifier. Associate the identifier with an event variable or global variable that has the same name as the node variable that you want to use. This step makes the identifier available for you to use in any node. When your flow is executed, the RTDM Engine uses the identifier definition that is farthest downstream in the diagram or campaign.

This workaround enables you to reference identifiers in your Reply node regardless of which path is taken by the flow.
