Problem Note 44042: Calculations in SAS® programs might be inaccurate and might cause errors after you upgrade to the z/OS 1.12 operating system
If your site is using CA TSO/MON Performance Management with Online Facility r6.2, various problems such as the following can result after you upgrade to the z/OS 1.12 operating system:
- Incorrect calculations in your SAS programs (even without visible errors)
- Erroneous values
- Errors and error messages, such as the following:
— ERROR: ARRAY SUBSCRIPT OUT OF RANGE AT LINE xxxxxx
— Abend S0C7 at IEAVESRT+x'93C'
— Abend S059
— Abend S4FC
- Errors seen in the MXG software from Merrill Consultants:
— INVALID DATA FOR SMFTIME IN LINE 85041 3-10
— ***ERROR. INVALID DB2 PRODUCT HEADER ID=101 QWHSLEN=50370
— INVALID ARGUMENT TO FUNCTION DATEJUL
- Other problems that involve floating-point registers
This issue can affect all releases of SAS and any other application that uses floating-point registers.
