Usage Note 44027: Scheduled job does not start on Windows server
On Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 2008 versions of the Windows operating system, the default is for users to have the "Allow logon locally" right, not the "Log on as a batch job" right. When Platform Computing's Platform Process Manager is installed on one of these newer versisons of Windows, the assumption is for the local interactive logon right. When users do not have this right assigned, scheduled jobs are triggered but fail to start. When this happens, you might see messages such as the following in the sbatchd log file:
Aug 17 15:07:59 2011 6364:5856 3 7.05 getTokenForUser_: getOSUserName_() failed: Bad user ID
Aug 17 15:07:59 2011 6364:5856 3 7.05 setJobEnv(): getTokenForUser_ failed
To circumvent the problem, add the following parameter to the
\LSF_TOP\conf\lsf.conf file:
LSB_LOGON_INTERACTIVE=N
When this parameter is set, the user ID that schedules and runs the job must have the "Logon as a batch job" user right assigned.
