Problem Note 44679: The TwoStage node results might be incorrect with Set Value Model=TREE and Use=No
If you use the TwoStage node in SAS® Enterprise Miner™ and specify the following combination of properties, then the results might be incorrect.
- Set the Use property to No for any of the variables.
- Set the Value Model property to Tree.
The results are incorrect when both of these settings are used together. The Use property is incorrectly ignored with this combination. Variables that you do not want to use are incorrectly added to the scoring code.
There are no errors or warnings to indicate that the score code is incorrect.
To work around the problem, do not set the Use property to No to prevent variables from being used. Instead, reject or drop unwanted variables before the TwoStage node if you plan to set the Value Model property to Tree.
For example, before the TwoStage node, use a Metadata node to reject unwanted variables.
