Problem Note 44503: Unable to migrate or refresh a worksheet with a simple filter when using the SAS® Add-In for Microsoft Office
Using the SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office, if you create a Microsoft Excel worksheet that contains data and a simple filter similar to the following, the worksheet might have problems when you attempt to move it to version 4.3.
PRODUCT>'A' AND PRODUCT<'ZZZZZZ'
OR
PRODUCT>='A' AND PRODUCT<='ZZZZZZ'
The problem can occur if you attempt to move the worksheet either through migration or a simple refresh.
If you attempt to migrate, the task might fail with the following error in the log:
Number of files migrated successfully: 0
Number of files that could not be completely migrated: 1
------------------------------------------------------------------------
The following files encountered an error in the migration process and may need
further processing to run in the latest software release:
C:\folder\test.xlsx : Migration failed.
Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.
Could not change library SASMain:SASHELP to SASApp:SASHELP. Library
SASApp:SASHELP does not exist or could not be found.
If you refresh instead of migrate, you might see the following message:
System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: Index was out of range. Must be non-negative
and less than the size of the collection.
Parameter name: startIndex
To circumvent the problem, remove the filter before migrating or refreshing, and then replace it after the table is successfully updated in 4.3.
