Installation Note 44392: A SAS Web Infrastructure configuration failure occurs when the SAS® Content Server repository is loaded during migration from SAS® 9.2 to SAS 9.3
The SAS® Deployment Wizard fails when you migrate from SAS® 9.2 to SAS
9.3 and you use a different installer account than you used for SAS 9.2. When that happens, a message similar to the following occurs:
The following problem was encountered while configuring SAS Web
Infrastructure Platform: Failure while loading the SAS Content Server repository.
Configuration script: /install/efj_ncdpi92to93/SAS/SASWebInfrastructurePlatform/9.3/Config/webinfpltfm_config.xml
To resolve the problem, make sure that the user ID under which the SAS Deployment Wizard
runs has Write permission for the SAS Content Server directories in the
migration package. Before you run the wizard, make the following
permission changes:
- SCS directory ($SMU_PACKAGE$/$HOST_NAME$/SCS): Change permissions from 750 (rwxr-----)
to 755 (rwxr--r--)
- Repository directory ($SMU_PACKAGE$/$HOST_NAME$/SCS/Repository): Change permissions from 750 (rwxr-----) to 777 (rwxrwxrwx).
As a best practice, be sure to reset the permission for these two directories to their previous values after you run the deployment wizard.
