Problem Note 44330: 'Minimum periods between markdowns' plan pricing rule violated
When using SAS® High-Performance Markdown Optimization, you might notice markdown recommendations that violate the plan's Minimum periods between markdowns rule. If the current week's price is the same as the markdown price approved in the previous week, then optimization will not recognize it as a markdown and might erroneously recommend a markdown that would violate the rule. This issue is most likely to be encountered when the inventory and forecast is such that a very large markdown should be taken.
The workaround for this issue is for the user to not approve the suggested markdowns having an effective date that violates the Minimum periods between markdowns rule.
