Problem Note 44260: Continuous DISABLE CUBE operations might cause the SAS® OLAP Server to stop responding
During batch stress testing of the SAS OLAP Server, it has been found that when continual queries on an OLAP cube are submitted to the SAS OLAP Server, and at the same time continual disable and enable operations are performed, after a while the server threads might start to fail. When the number of threads are exhausted, the server stops responding.
You might also see access violations in the OLAP Server log that begin like the following:
First-Chance Exception: SIGACCESS (Access Violation).
EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (C0000005) read access at Address 00000020.
[4836] tkmdx:\tkmdx1\mdxCompDisableCubes_impl 6417 (+0x13)
This is caused when the DISABLE CUBES operation attempts to access memory on the SAS OLAP Server that has not yet been allocated.
