Problem Note 44199: An ASP broadcast fails to deliver if you view the properties of the broadcast in SAS® Digital Marketing
If you view the properties for an Application Service Provider (ASP) broadcast in SAS Digital Marketing Studio and click OK, then the broadcast might become corrupted. The corruption occurs independently of whether you view any of the tabs in the properties.
As a result, when the broadcast is executed, delivery to the ASP fails. There are no errors or warnings to indicate that a problem occurred.
The SAS® Digital Marketing 5.3: Administrator's Guide contains the following example of labels and parameters that you might use in an ASP broadcast definition.
To use the NowSMS ASP to send SMS messages, you might create the following non-administrative parameters:
Default Value: SMS message
Name: Phone number
However, for NowSMS or for any other ASP provider, if you use any label other than To in an ASP broadcast definition, the broadcast might become corrupted.
The change that occurs when you click OK is that your chosen label, such as PhoneNumber is re-saved as To. This change makes the broadcast undeliverable. If you open the Edit Broadcast screen, the PhoneNumber label is replaced with To. The generated URL changes from the correct example below to the incorrect example are shown below:
