Problem Note 44186: LOGDB is not a supported option when using the Teradata Parallel Transporter (TPT) with SAS/ACCESS® Interface to Teradata
When you use TPT with SAS/ACCESS Interface to Teradata, LOGDB is not a supported option. Because the LOGDB option with TPT is not supported, the work, log, and error files are written to the default database for your user ID. You might receive the following error if you specify a schema in the LIBNAME statement and preface the work tables with a database name:
ERROR: Teradata connection: Syntax error: expected something between the word 'DB_NAME1' and '.'.
Correct error and restart as an APPEND process with option TPT_RESTART=YES. Since no checkpoints were
taken, if the previous run used FIRSTOBS=n, use the same value in the restart.
To work around this issue, do the following:
- Make the database to which you want the work tables written be the default database for the user
- Do not use the SCHEMA option in the LIBNAME statement.
