Problem Note 44171: After adding models, the Single DATA Step Server returns "ERROR 68-185: The function 'XXnumber' is unknown, or cannot be accessed" and fails to start
When you add a statistical model for SAS® Real-Time Decision Manager and then restart the SAS Real-Time Decision Manager Object Spawner, the Single DATA Step Server might not start. This problem occurs when the model update process for SAS Real-Time Decision Manager is not fully synchronized with the models that are available. To verify the source of the problem, check that the SingleDataStep_date.log includes an error that is similar to the following:
ERROR 68-185: The function number is unknown, or cannot be accessed.
To correct the problem, follow these steps:
- Stop the SAS Real-Time Decision Manager Object Spawner.
- Delete everything from the Data\ModelMetadata directory.
- Delete all _s*, _i*, _l*, _m*, and _o* files from the SASActivityCode directory.
- Delete rtdm.sas7bdat and rtdm.sas7bndx from the Data\CONNLIB directory.
- Replace the mm_allModels.sas file with a new mm_allModels.sas file that looks like this:
sc_mm_scores:
sc_retCode_var=1;
sc_retMsg_var="Unable to locate Score code for " || sc_programName_var;
return;
- Start the SAS Real-Time Decision Manager Object Spawner.
- Ensure that the ModelUpdate log file (config\Lev1\Logs\ModelUpdate*.log) is free of errors.
- Ensure that the SingleDataStep_date.log file (config\Lev1\Logs\SingleDataStep*.log) is free of errors.
Note that all directory paths above are relative to ...config\Lev1\Applications\SASRealTimeServerConfig5.4.
