Installation Note 44055: Multiple JDBC drivers for Oracle cause a problem when Oracle is the database for SAS Shared Services
If you specify the Oracle database for SAS Shared Services, the following error might occur:
-------------------------------

This error occurs when multiple Oracle Java Database Connectivity (JDBC) drivers exist in the path that you specify in the SAS® Deployment Wizard when it prompts you for the directory that contains the JDBC driver .jar file for Oracle. During the SAS Deployment Wizard configuration phase, all .jar files are copied into the file structure for the Web application server from the path that you specify. When the Web application server is started, the application might select the wrong JDBC driver, thereby causing the error.
To correct the problem, copy the appropriate JDBC driver .jar file for Oracle into a separate directory. Then enter the directory path in the wizard when you are prompted.
If you have already completed the deployment process, follow these steps:
- Determine the correct Oracle JDBC driver .jar file to use.
- Delete all other Oracle JDBC driver .jar files from the file structure in the Web application server and in the SAS configuration directory.
During the deployment process, the JDBC driver .jar files are copied to the SAS configuration directory /Lev1/Web/Applications/SASSharedServices9.2/JDBCDrivers/.
If you use JBoss as the Web application server, the files are copied to /JBoss-home-directory/server/SASServer1/lib directory.
