Problem Note 43973: SAS/AF® Version 6 Critical Success Factor object is unreadable in SAS® 9.2
SAS/AF Frame entries that were created prior to SAS 9.2 and contain the Version 6 Critical Success Factor (CSF) object might have their CSF objects now appear almost all black when migrated to SAS 9.2 on Windows XP.
Also, you might receive the following message in the SAS Log window:
NOTE: Undefinable color FOREGROU mapped to GRAY.
Within the Windows 7 environment in SAS 9.2, the CSF object might be more readable and display with multiple colors, but when you try to modify the range colors in the object attributes, the color changes do not apply and you will get the same note above in the SAS Log.
This behavior is occurring because the Version 6 CSF object was not enhanced with other graph objects when modifications were made for SAS 9.2. Code was added in SAS 9.2 to adapt to Truecolor representation and 16-character color names.
Truecolor is a method of representing and storing graphical image information in an RGB color space so that a very large number of colors, shades, and hues can be displayed in an image. This allows for higher quality for photographic images and complex graphics.
You can circumvent this problem by modifying each Frame that contains Version 6 CSF objects and editing them to instead use a Version 8 CSF control. Replacing the Version 6 object with a Version 8 control might require SCL code modifications for program statements that reference the CSF object due to syntax differences when referencing object properties and methods.
