Problem Note 43915: SAS® Marketing Automation exports fail when they attempt to append to an existing Excel file that does not contain any entries
SAS Marketing Automation returns the following error when an export attempts to append to an Excel file that has no data entries:
ERROR in the stored process or a called macro - vendor code: 1012,
Message; Macro [MAEXP].SYSERRORTEXT=[Variable AGE has been defined as both character and numeric]
This scenario can occur on the second run of an export to an Excel file if the first run led to a zero count. The first run creates an empty Excel file that contains only column headings. The second run of the export generates the error above.
To avoid this error, delete export files that contain zero rows before you re-execute the export.
