The following message occurs when you attempt to open a SAS/ACCESS Interface to DB2 table that contains column names that exceed 30 characters.

This DBMS table or view cannot be accessed by the SAS System because it
contains column names that are not unique when a SAS normalized (uppercased) compare is performed. 

This error might occur if your site has recently upgraded your DB2 database server to 9.5 server. The DB2 column length limits were increased and exceed the SAS limit of a column name of 30 characters long.

To resolve this issue, have your Database Administrator re-create the table(s) and ensure that the column names have 30 characters or less.
