Sample 43472: How to make a copy of a SAS data set in the same library
The APPEND procedure allows you to make an exact copy of a SAS data set in the same library and rename it. This is done by using the BASE= option on the PROC APPEND statement. This option specifies the new name of the copied data set and the DATA= option specifies the name of the data set to be copied. The new data set is created in the same library with a new name.
See the sample code on the Full Code tab for an example.
