Problem Note 43224: An error message appears in your SAS® log if you use the METALIB procedure to register or update a view that is defined in a Sybase database

If you use the METALIB procedure to register or update a view that is defined in a Sybase database, the following error message appears in your SAS® log:
PROC METALIB stops processing at this point and fails to register this view, as well as any subsequent views or tables that exist in the Sybase library.
This problem occurs because PROC METALIB calls Sybase functions in order to fetch primary and foreign key information. Sybase does not support the use of these functions with views. The functions can only be used with tables.

Note: This hot fix will not completely fix the problem. The fix simply allows PROC METALIB to ignore the error and continue to register the view (without primary and foreign key metadata) and any additional tables or views in the library.
