Installation Note 43697: Installing the SASCP module, the SASCP64 module, and the SAS® SVC routine before configuring a planning deployment in the z/OS operating environment
Before you configure your SAS® software with the SAS® Deployment Wizard for a SAS® 9.2 or later planning deployment, the following modules must be installed on your system:
- The SASCP module in a partitioned data set (PDS)— SASCP is a TSO command-processor module, which defines a sascp TSO command that is used to invoke SAS® Foundation software for SAS® 9.3 or later.
- The SASCP64 module in an extended partitioned data set (PDSE)— SASCP64 is a TSO command-processor module, which defines a sascp64 TSO command.
- SASCPZ64 and SASCPZAE modules in an extended partition data set (PDSE)— These were introduced in SAS® 9.4.
Note: SAS 9.3 required that you place module SASCP64 in a link list library. If you intend to run SAS 9.3 and SAS 9.4 simultaneously, you need all three modules— SASCP64, SASCPZ64, and SASCPZAE— in your link list library.
- The SAS SVC routine
For instructions about how to install the SASCP module, install the SASCP64 module, and install the SAS SVC routine, see the section "About Additional z/OS Pre-Installation Tasks" in the SAS® 9.4 Intelligence Platform Installation and Configuration Guide.
