Problem Note 43660: Data set can get out of sync with its audit trail file in the VIEWTABLE window

A SAS data set can get out of sync with its audit trail file in the VIEWTABLE window. This problem of not re-syncing only occurs for temporary SAS data sets with an audit trail, and when switching directly from edit mode to browse mode in the VIEWTABLE window without first saving the changes. Permanent SAS data sets with an audit trail are automatically re-synced.
To prevent this from happening, be sure to save the changes while in edit mode within the VIEWTABLE before changing to browse mode.
This will be fixed in a future SAS release.
