Problem Note 43584: Accessing a secure web site (HTTPS) using the FILENAME URL access method results in a fatal error
If you attempt to access a secure web site (HTTPS) using the
FILNAME URL access method,
your SAS® process will fail with the following errors:
ERROR: Encryption runtime execution error
FATAL: Unrecoverable I/O error detected
This error is caused by ALERT data being sent to the SSL buffer.
The FILENAME URL access method is not able to handle ALERT data.
