Installation Note 43576: An Oracle WebLogic configuration fails when the value for the per-process limit (ulimit) for file descriptors is set to "unlimited"
When both of the following events are true, you must ensure that the per-process limit (ulimit) for the nofiledescriptors parameter is not set to unlimited before you run the SAS® 9.3 Deployment Wizard:
- You run the SAS 9.3 Deployment Wizard in the AIX or Solaris operating environments.
- You automatically configure Oracle WebLogic 10.3.3 or 10.3.4 to deploy SAS® Enterprise BI Server Web applications.
During the Configuring WebLogic step, the wizard fails with a non-specific error similar to the following when the hard ulimit value for file descriptors is set to unlimited and the soft ulimit is set to a specific numerical value:

If you encounter this failure, you cannot simply change the hard ulimit during the configuration and then and re-execute the step. You must stop the SAS Deployment Wizard and set the hard ulimit to a specific value.

For software releases that are not yet generally available, the Fixed
Release is the software release in which the problem is planned to be
fixed.
The SAS Deployment Wizard fails during configuration for Oracle WebLogic 10.3.3 or 10.3.4 if the hard ulimit for file descriptors is set to "unlimited". Before you start the SAS® 9.3 Deployment Wizard, you must modify the hard ulimit to a specific value.
