Problem Note 43326: SAS/ACCESS® Interface to PC Files cannot be used when importing Microsoft Excel 2007 files in SAS® Enterprise Guide®
When using the Import Data task in SAS Enterprise Guide 4.2 or 4.3 to import a Microsoft Excel 2007 (.xlsx) file, you cannot select the Import the data using SAS/ACCESS Interface to PC Files whenever possible option. This option appears on the last page(Advanced Options) of the Import Data wizard.
When importing a Microsoft Excel 2003 (.xls) file, the option is available to select.
