Problem Note 43311: The Teradata Parallel Transporter requires character-set specification for multi-byte clients at library initialization
For some SAS solutions, the Teradata Parallel Transporter (TPT) requires character-set specification for multi-byte clients upon library initialization.
SAS/ACCESS® Interface to Teradata libraries require that you specify the character set at library initialization. This specification is required because the software does not look at any CLI client character setting in the initialization file. This behavior enables the TPT load utility to be used with a UTF-8 client encoding.
