Sample 43252: How to generate a backslash and a yen symbol in ODS RTF output
A backslash is displayed as a yen symbol in the Japanese environment.
The RTF control word of NOXLATTOYEN will prevent the backslash from converting to a yen symbol when the file is opened in Microsoft Word. This option can be used in the SECTIONDATA= option on the ODS RTF statement. The sample code below shows how to apply the NOXLATTOYEN option.
data test;
/* backslash */
a="back" || "^S={font_face='Times New Roman'}" || '5C'x || "^S={}" || "slash";
output;
/* yen */
a="yen" || '5C'x || "mark";
output;
run;
ods escapechar='^';
ods rtf file="c:\temp\test.rtf";
ods rtf sectiondata="\noxlattoyen";
proc print data=test;
run;
ods rtf close;
