Sample 43094: Displaying an image for the background of a SAS/AF® FRAME entry
Overview
To display an image in a SAS/AF FRAME entry, you can use the Image Viewer control. In order to specify an image as the background of the frame itself, you can fill the master region of the frame with the Image Viewer control and you can then place other objects on top of it. The Image Viewer control displays SAS catalog entries of type IMAGE, or it displays external images such as .jpg files.
Specifying the image
Follow the steps below to designate the image that you want to use as the background for your frame:
-
In a new FRAME entry, issue the command: RM FILL
-
When the dialog box opens, select Image Viewer Control. This will fill the entire master region of the frame entry with an empty Image Viewer control.
-
To assign your background image to the control, open the properties window and set the attributes imageSource and image as appropriate.
For an IMAGE entry saved in a SAS catalog, you can set the properties like:
ImageViewer1.imageSource='CATALOG';
ImageViewer1.image='SASHELP.I0808.ADD.IMAGE';
|
Similarly, for an IMAGE entry stored in an external file, you can set the properties like the following:
ImageViewer1.imageSource='FILE';
ImageViewer1.image='c:\myimage.jpg';
