Problem Note 42915: Issuing a "Register Tables" or an "Update Metadata" request from SAS® 9.2 Management Console generates an error

Key and index definitions are not registered or updated correctly in SAS® metadata for tables that are referenced using SAS/ACCESS® Interface to Teradata. This problem can happen if the global SORTSEQ= option is set in the SAS Workspace Server.
If you issue a Register Tables or an Update Metadata request within SAS 9.2 Management Console for a Teradata table that has keys or indexes, the request fails. When this happens, the following error appears in the related SAS log:
ERROR: Input data sets cannot be combined because they have different collating sequences (SORTSEQ).
To work around this issue, use either of the following methods:
- Manually define the metadata for keys or indexes for the relevant tables in SAS Management Console.
- Use the METALIB procedure to register the tables in the metadata.
- Avoid using the SORTSEQ option in the workspace server while you register the tables in the metadata.
