When you calculate a SAS Profitability Management model, one of the tasks performed as part of the calculation process is a delete query on the BehaviorAssignment table within the PM Model database. This task ensures only current model behaviors are used during the model calculation.
If your model has many behaviors, you will typically find that a model calculation runs faster with the optimized delete query that is available with the attached hot fix.
You can determine the amount of time SAS Profitability Management currently requires to perform the delete query task by looking at the CPU time in the calculation log. Look for the CPU time entry under the comment:
**/Update BehaviorAssignment based on Behavior table
You can calculate your model and expand the Details button in the SAS Profitability Management calculation summary dialog to view the CPU time or you can view the calculation log on the SAS Profitability Management server. Depending on your installation, the path where this log is stored will be either:
OR<Config dir>\Lev1\Data\SASProfitabilityManagement\models\<ModelName>\SASCode
<Config dir>\Lev1\AppData\SASProfitabilityMgmt2.1\Models\<ModelName>\SASCode
Select the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
