Problem Note 42729: SAS® 9.2 overlays the Windows Forms API when you invoke SAS as an OLE automation server from a Microsoft Visual Basic application

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

When you invoke SAS 9.2 from a Microsoft Visual Basic .NET application, the SAS Display Manager runs in the foreground, overlaying the Windows Forms API that you started. This situation also occurs with other applications that use SAS as an OLE automation server. Setting the oleSAS.Visible property to False does not prevent the problem.

This problem does not occur with SAS 9.1.

For SAS 9.2 releases prior to the third maintenance release for SAS 9.2 (TS2M3), you can work around this issue by minimizing the SAS Display Manager menu manually.

Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue for SAS 9.2 TS2M3.
