Problem Note 42623: Data items with the same name from different tables might be switched when modifying the Import Data task in SAS® Enterprise Guide®

When opening an information map in SAS Enterprise Guide, the wrong data items might be selected for the query when you modify the Import Data task. This problem occurs only under very specific circumstances, as illustrated by the following example.
The information map shown in the following display contains data items from two different tables. Both tables include a data item named "Name." For the query, Age and Sex are selected from CLASSA (the first table) and Name is selected from CLASSB (the second table). Notice that the SAS Name for the Name data item is Name_2.
After you run the query, if you subsequently select to Modify Import SAS Information Map, you will see that SAS Enterprise Guide has incorrectly replaced Name from CLASSB with the first occurence of Name from CLASSA. So, if the data item that you selected is not the first one in the Available data items list, then you will encounter this problem.
This problem also can occur in the SAS® Add-In for Microsoft Office.
