Problem Note 42555: Incorrect messages are possible in SAS® Analytics modules with UTF-8 encoding enabled

When you use any procedure in the SAS/STAT®, SAS/ETS®, or SAS/OR® modules in a UTF-8 edition of the SAS® System, some title and column labels in your output might contain incomplete or incorrect content or be formatted incorrectly. These problems make the output difficult to read. In addition, reported results might also be incomplete or inaccurate.

To circumvent this problem, set the LOCALELANGCHG option to NOLOCALELANGCHG. For example, add the NOLOCALELANGCHG option to the configuration file or as a SAS invocation command. However, if you change the option while you are running SAS in a multilingual environment, you will see your SAS output with only English labels.

The problem occurs in the SAS/STAT, SAS/ETS, or SAS/OR modules that were released with the third maintenance release for SAS 9.2 (TS2M3). When these modules were released with the platform release, the correct copy of the message files was not available for the SAS Unicode server running with the language switching feature.
