Problem Note 42506: Text color for Microsoft Windows host controls might not be honored in a SAS/AF® Frame

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

After migrating a SAS/AF application to SAS® 9.2 on Microsoft Windows operating systems, text and label colors other than black might no longer be honored because SAS 9.2 honors Windows theme settings for host controls.

This problem can occur when the Windows theme is set to something other than Windows Classic, and it affects host controls used by SAS/AF such as the Text Entry Control, the Radio Box Control, and the Check Box Control.

To return to your previous color specifications for host controls, you must change your Windows theme setting back to Windows Classic.

If you are running Windows 7, right-click on the Windows desktop and select Personalize ► Windows Classic under Basic and High Contrast Themes.

If you are running Windows XP, right-click on the Windows desktop and select Properties ► Themes ► Windows Classic.

Select the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue. After the hot fix has been installed, you will need to define a system environment variable named SAS_NO_VISUAL_STYLES with a value of 1 to disable the use of the Windows theme within SAS.
