Problem Note 42396: SAS® Scalable Performance Data Server® can become unresponsive after refreshing domains when a large number of domains are defined

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

If more than 255 domains are defined in the libnames.parm file of an active SAS Scalable Data Performance Server, and you issue a REFRESH DOMAINS statement in a PROC SPDO step, the server becomes unresponsive and no new connections from clients can be made. The client SAS session where the PROC SPDO step is being executed will also become unresponsive and must be terminated.

The following messages are seen in the SAS Scalable Performance Data Server log :

SPDSSERV- OPER client connection from IP address: xx.xx.xx.xx
SPDSSERV- In child thread handler handling signal 11

The same problem can occur when refreshing domains using the Server Manager component of the SPD Management plug-in to SAS Management Console.

Note: In addition to the Fixed Releases identified below, Release 4.4m13 provides this fix.
