Problem Note 42394: Number of open files decreases when opening/closing a data set over multiple iterations

If you are running SAS® 9.2 on OpenVMS™ for HP Integrity and your program code opens and closes a data set over multiple iterations, you will see that the number of open files decreases, causing FILLM to become exhausted. The following errors have been reported:
ERROR: Assign channel service request failed. ERROR: No I/O channel available.
