Problem Note 42376: An error occurs when reading a filename that includes an asterisk (*) with the Japanese edition of SAS® 9.2 in a Windows operating environment

When you are using a Japanese edition of SAS 9.2 under Windows, the following error message is displayed when you attempt to read an external file that includes an asterisk (*) in the filename:
ERROR: Physical file does not exist
This problem does not occur with SAS® 9.1.3. As a workaround, rename the file so that an asterisk is not part of the name of the file.
