Usage Note 42349: Tips for Troubleshooting SAS Logon Manager authentication problems
When logging on to the SAS Stored Process Web Application, the SAS® Information Delivery Portal or other SAS Web Applications, the SAS Logon Manager is used
to authenticate users. This Usage Note provides some
tips for troubleshooting problems if you are unable to determine
why a user cannot logon successfully.
- When the logon fails, check the SAS® Metadata Server log file and look for error messages
concerning the user who could not log on successfully.
- Try to logon to another client application such as SAS® Enterprise Guide® using the same user account.
- Turn on more logging for the SAS Logon Manager by following these steps:
- Using SAS® Management Console,
under SAS Foundation Services, select:
Remote Services ► Core ► Logging Services ► Properties ► Service Configuration (tab) ► Configuration (button)
- In the Logging Service Configuration window set the following Contexts:
com.sas.services.user DEBUG
com.sas.framework.services INFO
- Using SAS Management Console,
under SAS Foundation Services, select:
SASWIPServices9.2 Local Services ► Core ► Logging Services ► Properties ► Service Configuration (tab) ► Configuration (button)
-
In the Logging Service Configuration window, set the following Contexts:
