Problem Note 42314: Using Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) 7 as a reverse-proxy server might block SAS® software Theme requests
When used as a reverse-proxy server for SAS web applications, IIS 7 may block requests for the ThemesXMLFiles.config file due to a default configuration setting. This configuration setting disallows requests for the file extension .config. Consequently , SAS Web applications do not deploy correctly, and they are not accessible from a Web browser.
The following error might appear in the Web-application server log:
ERROR [] com.sas.framework.commons.util.HttpUtil -
ERROR 404 url: http:///SASTheme_default/themes/ThemeXMLFiles.config
You can correct this problem by modifying the Request Filter configuration in the IIS 7 administration console so that it enables requests for the file type .config. You can apply the modifiction either globally or to the SASTheme_default virtual directory if the Theme content is hosted on the IIS server.
