Problem Note 42231: The script used to promote SAS® Information Delivery Portal content removes the Portal Application Tree when an incorrect name is passed to the script
If you do not use the correct letter casing when specifying the template name, the Portal promotion script RemovePortal92.(bat/sh) defaults to removing the entire Portal Application Tree. When this occurs, you must restore the tree from the metadata backup that was taken before you ran the script, and then you must run the script again. When running the script, be sure to specify the exact letter casing used in the filename.
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue. The hot fix, which is for Portal 4.3, changes the default behavior so that the script fails if the template name is incorrectly specified. In this case, a message similar to the following will be issued:
INFORMATION: Metadata Deployment process ended at Thu Oct 28 15:30:29 EDT 2010.
'-targetServer' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
Customers not yet running version 4.3, and customers who are running version 4.3 before the hot fix is released, can download the scripts with the hot fix from SAS Note 41692.
