Problem Note 42195: A case remains locked after you are finished editing it
When you are finished editing a case in SAS® Enterprise Case Management, your lock on the case should release automatically. However, in some situations your lock on the case is not released, so no other user is able to edit the case. When you view the case, your user name is displayed in the "Locked by" field.
The lock incorrectly remains if you have certain capabilities on the case including "Edit Any Case Anytime", "Edit My Case Anytime" (if you are the case investigator), "Edit Any Closed Case", or "Edit My Closed Case" (if you are the case investigator).
To allow another user to edit the incorrectly-locked case, first go to the list of cases, and find the case. Then, click on the drop-down menu item in the first column of the case, and select Unlock. The case will unlock, and another user can edit the case.
